Hemant and Nandita

After obtaining their 3 year degree in Fashion Design and assisting other designers, in 2009, this sharp style minded duo launched their debut collection as what the world is now discovering as, Hemant and Nandita.

Hemant and Nandita's designs are style appropriate for day out and night as well. Fashion Noteworthy has fallen head over heels with their combination of traditional "Indian opulence and contemporary style". The fabric captures attention while giving the designs very feminine approach to what they consider "indo-western" style.  They hit all marks in defining the beauty of a silhouette in their chic pencil skirts and trousers and bring flirtation in their billowing jumpsuit below.

So far, their collections have been seen in Abu Dhabi, Bangkok, Cannes, Dubai, Greece, Hong Kong,  Jakarta, , Kuwait, Lebanon, New York, Panama, Paris, South Africa, and Saudi Arabia.
They have also dressed some of Bollywood's famous.

THIS JUST IN: Dolce and Gabbana's Tax Evasion Can Cost Them Two and a Half Years In Prison

Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana

Prison blue may not be a good color for the design duo however, they are being asked to serve for a much lesser time than the usual 5 years. But don't fret, they won't be going alone. It seems also that Domenico's brother Alfonso, Luciano Patelli the company's accountant and Finance Director Guiseppe Minoni are all facing charges ranging from two to three years each as order by Antonella Brambilla, the judge presiding over the case.

This case is said to have attracted such interest due to a forfeiting of $150 Billion in unpaid taxes by the country. Eyebrows were raised when checking into the selling of the D&G Brand to the designers holding company Gado Srl, based in Luxembourg.

They have been awarded a fine of $343.3 Million EUROS (that's $444,269, 679.50 USD).

Maybe after their release we'll see some prison inspired digs....

Met Gala 2013

In case you missed last night's Ode to Punk at the Met Gala, Kim Kardashian finally gets invited, (and wants so bad to grace the cover of Vogue, she was seen having dinner with Anna Wintour); Anna Hathaway is now a blonde and while the theme was "Punk", only a handful of attendees were spot on.

We liked Miley Cyrus' and Nicole Richie's look.

Please take a moment to see some footage of last night's soiree....

Madonna forgot her pants last night.

54 Kingdoms Fashion Tribute to Timbuktu

54 Kingdoms is pleased to pay a fashion tribute to Timbuktu in a film titled Dearly Beloved.
Dearly Beloved is a short film that spawned from the designers'  University of Afrika (UoA) design that was recently launched with the Kingdom Come collection

With words from, Nathan ‘Nana’ Wise, Dearly Beloved is said to be a narrative with such emotion, "full of both grief and optimism" dedicated to Timbuktu as a reflection of its larger than life impact on education, life and history. The story taps into Timbuktu’s advancement in becoming known as the base of religious teachings, arts and sciences during early stages of civilization, but also the importance of celebrating the accomplishments and influences of one’s history, before it loses its value or becomes non-existent.
"Dearly Beloved is a visual and auditory depiction of both the rise and decline of Timbuktu,
emphasizing the importance of maintaining not only the history, but also vitality of such an
important place and chapter in Africa’s chronicle".
